(Adds comments in last paragraph)

MOSCOW/KIEV, Dec 9 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom’s CEO Alexei Miller and Energy Minister Alexander Novak will take part in a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to be held in Paris later on Monday, a source familiar with preparations for the talks told PRIME.

“Both will take part,” the source said.

Presidential aide Yury Ushakov said earlier that Putin and Zelensky will discuss implementation of the Minsk agreements, but did not specify whether the gas issue would be touched upon.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, presidential aide Vladislav Surkov, and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov are also expected to take part in the meeting.

Kirill Timoshenko, deputy head of Zelensky’s office, said that Ukrainian Energy Minister Alexei Orzhel and Naftogaz Ukrainy Executive Director Yury Vitrenko are included in delegation which went to Paris with Zelensky and could take part in discussion if necessary.
